It isn't uncommon for an actor and director to find a great connection and continue to work together time and again. Ryan Gosling, who has been tossed around as a possible name to portray Batman in the near future, has now said that he would be interested. Gosling told Variety Gosling told Variety that he would be interested in portraying the Dark Knight only if the film were to be directed by Damien Chazelle. Chazelle and Gosling have worked together previously on La La Land and First Man. The comment seemed to be made in jest, but never say never.
