The Hollywood Reporter has just broke the news that Bill Finger, co-creator of Batman, will finally be getting the credit he deserves, beginning with Gotham season 2 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. There is no word on exactly how that credit will read, but this is a huge victory for Finger's family and the legions of fans that have been pushing for this for so very long.
The official statement from DC Entertainment is as follows:
DC Entertainment and the family of Bill Finger are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement that recognizes Mr. Finger’s significant contributions to the Batman family of characters. "Bill Finger was instrumental in developing many of the key creative elements that enrich the Batman universe, and we look forward to building on our acknowledgement of his significant role in DC Comics’ history," stated Diane Nelson, President of DC Entertainment. "As part of our acknowledgement of those contributions," Nelson continued, "we are pleased to confirm today that Bill Finger will be receiving credit in the Warner Bros. television series Gotham beginning later this season, and in the forthcoming motion picture Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Here at Legions of Gotham we have had a page up for well over a decade attributing much of what makes Batman the Dark Knight we all know and love to Bill Finger.
Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder told the Daily Beast recently that the film will focus a bit more on Batman and his placement in the new DC Cinematic Universe. “Only in that because it’s a different Batman than the Batman that was in the Chris Nolan movies, so we have a little bit more explaining to do—and you just had a whole Superman movie,” confirmed Snyder. “But I think only in that way, because you need to understand where Batman is with everything. And that’s more toward the beginning, but it evens back out as it goes on.”
Michael Keaton, one of the all-time fan favorite Batman actors, turns 64 today on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Keaton, whose real name is Michael John Douglas, began is illustrious career in films like Night Shift (1982) and lead roles in comedies like Johnny Dangerously (1984) and Mr. Mom (1983).
Known primarily as a comedian, fans were learly when he was cast as Batman in what was supposed to be a dark and serious Batman movie. Keaton had worked with director Tim Burton on Beetlejuice, an association that helped him land the role in Batman (1989). Keaton would go on to star in Batman and Batman Returns (1992), before parting ways with the franchise, due to the exit of Tim Burton in the director's chair.
Many fans still hold out hope that Keaton will be called upon to portray an aging Batman in a big screen Dark Knight Returns adaptation one day.

A Reddit user that was touring Cartoon Network took this picture of some of their new show posters and a JLA poster was included. This is clearly not for the Bruce Timm Justice League or Justice League Unlimited shows, as their names were never presented as the JLA. There was a JLA: Trapped in Time direct to DVD feature last year, but that doesn't appear to be related.
It shouldn't come as a shock to fans that a new JLA (Justice League of America) cartoon is in the works over at Cartoon Network. After all, the DC Comics cinematic universe includes an upcoming Justice League film, and lets face it Batman v Superman may as well be a Justice League trial run at this point.
Details on cast and crew are not yet available. Legions of Gotham will continue to dig with our sources and report any updates as they are revealed!

A bit about Deadpool:
Deadpool (Wade Winston Wilson) is a fictional antihero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld, the character first appeared in The New Mutants #98 (February 1991). Deadpool was depicted as a supervillain when he made his first appearance in The New Mutants and later in issues of X-Force, but has since evolved into the role of an antihero. Deadpool is a disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary with the superhuman ability of an accelerated healing factor. He is known as the "Merc with a Mouth" because of his talkative nature and tendency to break the fourth wall, which is used by writers to humorous effect.
