Batman LEGO is DEAD!
By
The Atari Nationbatman

Legions of Gotham has learned the sad news...Batman LEGO is, in fact, dead. LEGO had decided to move onto other building sets and leave Batman behind. While they mentioned that he could be re-visited in the future, there are no more immediate plans. Click HERE to read the details >>
It was a great run. Thanks Lego! And I also think we should thank Art Asylum for their MiniMates C3 series. That really showed us that Batman block figures could work!

Dark Knight Blu-Ray Breaks Sales Records!
By
The Atari Nationbatman

The Dark Knight Blu-Ray has sold over 1.7 copies worldwide to date!
From WB:
"The Dark Knight" took the world by storm on Blu-ray and DVD, breaking records for 2008. The blockbuster hit from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan became an instant must-own classic with Blu-ray sales of over 1.7 million units and total DVD and Blu-ray sales of 13.5 million worldwide*, including consumer sales and rental sales, in one week. Brisk consumer sales – totaling over 10 million with one week of sales reported - are expected to continue through the holiday season. "The Dark Knight" is the best selling Blu-ray title in history and will become the best selling 2008 title overall this week. The response to the digital copy offering included on the Blu-ray and Special Edition DVD has been remarkable with the number of consumers activating their digital copies approaching 300,000. "The Dark Knight" is already the number one movie for the year on the iTunes 2008 Chart.
"The Dark Knight" marks the first time that a major feature film has been shot in part using IMAX® cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of film formats. "The Dark Knight"t Blu-ray disc takes advantage of the marriage of IMAX® and 35mm formats by using the hybrid master to replicate the unique theatrical experience. The IMAX scenes are also included on the 2-disc Special Edition as bonus materials.

Batman RiffTrax
By
The Atari Nationbatman
RiffTrax emailed LOG recently with this info, being a fan of the old MST3K show, I thought I'd pass it along to you all...
RiffTrax is the internet continuation of the cult-hit TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000. At the end of the show's television run, star Mike Nelson and his comedic cohorts (Satellite of Love partners Kevin “Tom Servo” Murphy and Bill “Crow T. Robot” Corbett) reunited to “riff” (comedic commentary made during a film) the latest and greatest Hollywood blockbusters and duds, including The Dark Knight. This is accomplished through the release of MP3 tracks (the RiffTrax) that synchronize with the playback of a given film to reproduce the MST3K experience. RiffTrax has also developed a free software player that makes synchronization effortless. True to MST3K form, these riffs add endless hilarity and value to best (The Dark Knight) and worst (Batman & Robin) of movies.
For anyone who loves movies and is unfamiliar with the Mystery Science Theater experience, you owe it to yourself to try.
Here’s a preview clip of the Batman & Robin RiffTrax (One of the best, in my opinion): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbrkZSFZRto
And here are the full pages for The Dark Knight and Batman & Robin:

'Batman 3' Rumors
By
The Atari Nationbatman
Ok, well LOG gets a lot of emails from fans wondering about various rumors regarding the next Batman film. Is Catwoman going to be in it? If so, who will play her, etc. I want to clear this up really quick for everyone..there isn't a script yet..there is no sign-on by Nolan even. There is nothing but talk. Talk from fans, talk from studios. What they want only goes so far, the director's vision will take the forefront, especially with how well Dark Knight did. Nolan will get a very wide-open pass. I have verified with a few of my contacts at WB and there is, of course, a ton of interest and buzz there, but no word from Nolan yet and its not expected that anything will be even discussed until early 2009, so lets all hunker down and wait for the new year! Until then, you can keep up with Bat-rumors over at Batman On Film. Poor Jett has to sift through them all.

Silverhawks Volume One DVD Review!

Silverhawks Volume One DVD Review!

Buy the 4-disc set on October 14, 2008
Click HERE to purchase this DVD!
Review: The Silverhawks, produced back in 1986. This series was produced during what we children of the 80s call the heyday of animation. The studio pitched Thundercats and was immediately given a green light for Silverhawks as well. The show was so much fun, and the toys were the best. Kenner had produced some amazing product that kept many of us kids entertained for hours on end.
This DVD set is one of two releases. The next has not yet been announced. The DVD packaging is fantastic. It includes a nice, metallic slipcase, perfect for the subject matter.
The extras are fun. The Remembering the Silverhawks documentary is informative and full of behind the scenes tidbits about the show, its inception and intense relationship with Kenner toys.
I recommend this DVD set for anyone that watched this show. If you didn't get to see it then, watch it now! The amazing power of DVD, lol!
This 4-disc DVD set includes 32 of the 65 produced Silverhawks episodes. The Episodes on this volume include:
1. The Origin Story
2. Journey To Limbo
3. The Planet Eater
4. Save the Sun
5. Stop Timestopper
6. Darkbird
7. The Backroom
8. The Threat of Dritt
9. Sky-Shadow
10. Magnetic Attraction
11. Gold Shield
12. Zero the Memory Thief
13. The Milk Run
14. The Hardware Trap, Part 1
15. The Hardware Trap, Part 2
16. Race Against Time
17. Operation Big Freeze
18. The Ghost Ship
19. The Great Galaxy Race
20. Fantascreen
21. Hotwing Hits Limbo
22. The Bounty Hunter
23. Zeek's Fumble
24. The Fighting Hawks
25. The Rengade Hero
26. One on One
27. No More Mr. Nice Guy

'The Graysons' Tv Show coming to the CW Network!
By
The Atari Nationbatman

Yep, thats right. The CW network is developing a Smallville-esque show about Dick Grayson before he became Robin.
You can read the entire story by our friends over at Variety. Click HERE.
Personally, I think it has potential, only because the same production team from Smallville will be behind it...and Smallville has pleasantly surprised this comics fan. Stay tuned to LOG, we'll be covering 'The Graysons' all through development, pre-production and conception! LOG has our Grayson's Fansite up and running already, click HERE and bookmark it!
